1. What the service is

Aperture is a general-purpose, age-safe media generation service. It produces images and short videos from text descriptions. It is offered as a subscription with a usage allowance measured in credits.

2. Accounts

An account belongs to one person, who is responsible for everything done with it and for keeping its credentials secure. A valid email address is required because it is the only channel for billing and security notices. Accounts must not be shared, resold, or transferred.

3. Subscriptions and renewal

A subscription runs for the interval shown on the plan and renews automatically at the price in effect when it renews, until it is cancelled. Each renewal grants that plan’s included credits. Current prices and allowances are on the plans page; they are read from the catalogue rather than restated here, so the two cannot disagree.

4. Credits are a usage unit, not money

A credit is an internal unit of account measuring generation work. It is not currency, not electronic money, not a stored-value or prepaid instrument, and not a security. Credits have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be transferred between accounts, and confer no rights other than the ability to request generations on this service.

Buying a top-up pack is a purchase of service capacity, not a deposit of funds. Nothing in this agreement creates a balance you may withdraw.

5. How credits are priced and consumed

Every generation is quoted by the server before it runs, using a versioned pricing rule. The quoted amount is reserved when the job is accepted and settled when it finishes. A job that fails or is cancelled releases its reservation in full; a job that returns fewer outputs than requested is charged in proportion to what it actually delivered. The credit ledger records every grant, hold, charge, release, and expiry.

6. Expiry and rollover

Credits included with a subscription expire after that plan’s rollover window, counted from the grant that issued them. Credits bought as a top-up expire after the period stated for that pack. Expired credits are removed by a ledger entry and are not restored. Expiry rules for the plan you are on are shown on the pricing page and on your credits page.

If a subscription lapses, credits already granted remain usable until their own expiry, but no further grants are made.

7. Cancellation and refunds

A subscription can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; access and any remaining credits continue until then, and no further charge is made.

Credits already consumed are not refundable, because the work they paid for has been performed. Failed and cancelled generations are made good in credits, automatically and immediately, rather than in money. Where consumer law grants a statutory right to withdraw or to a refund, that right applies regardless of anything in this clause.

Initiating a chargeback instead of contacting support may restrict the account while the dispute is resolved. A restricted account keeps access to billing and support and loses access to generation.

8. Acceptable use

The content policy forms part of these terms. In addition, you must not attempt to evade moderation, probe or overload the service, use it to build a competing model, resell access, or use automated means to exceed the limits of your plan.

9. Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or terminated for a breach of these terms or of the content policy, for suspected fraud or payment abuse, or where required by law or by a payment, hosting, or model provider. Where circumstances allow, notice and an appeal route are given first. On termination for cause, unused credits are forfeited to the extent the law permits. You may close your account at any time; see the privacy policy for what deletion does and does not remove.

10. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be notified by email before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that date constitutes acceptance. Pricing changes apply from the next renewal, never retroactively to credits already granted.

11. Clauses this template does not contain

Warranty disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, intellectual-property assignment of generated output, governing law, and dispute resolution are deliberately absent. They are jurisdiction-specific and must be drafted by a qualified lawyer before launch. Do not publish this page as-is.
